Got a new Job

Well after a year and a half at my job I was strategically relocated within the command for the better. Anyways I am back down at the base precinct and doing what I am best at, helping people. I am working an early shift and still haven't adjusted yet to the hours and has had me worn out so I havent been on here since. I did on another note get my first winnings check in the mail yesterday and was happy about it. I had to show it to a few people and my buddy dave. I have been waiting several weeks though for my check from Titan Poker with no success. If anyone has any other ways to contact them other than the phone # listed on their site and the email addresses please let me know. They arent respondng to those for me.

I am looking forward to Father's Day sunday, seeing how I have a good start to my own basketball team, well if I play I would have a team, it will be fun. I will get back on after I win some poker this weekend and enjoy my day with the family.

Great hand for me

I was at APP last night and was waiting for the freeroll to begin, which I got out off way to early due to getting trolled out on, and decided to sit down at the $1/2 no limit table. I sat down with $200 and patiently waited. I won a few hands lost a few and was at 187 dollars when I get dealt 55in the big blind. UTG ($52)min raised it and it was called all the way around. I called and the flop was 3K5 all rainbow to. I bet 2 then it was raised to 4,fold, fold, fold, call ($24). I reraise to $6 and without hesitating they go all in, next guy calls. UTG turns over AA and the other guy turns over KJ. The turn was a 3 and river a 7. Cha CHING. I am up to $278 and I hung around for a few more hands, ended up leaving with a $69 profit for about twenty minutes worth of playing. Other than than I busted out of both my freerolls and went to bed early. I am in the tourney tonight at Pokerstars the WWDN and it starts at 8:30pm est. I am a member of a few completely free poker sites which I highly recomend if you are just starting out or would like to compete for some great prizes, Cash, WSOP buyins, Cash, etc. These sites are: www.espn.com poker club, www.pokerpasia.com, www.nlop.com, www.adultpokerparty.com. These sites offer everything you can think of poker wise and you really have to be on your game at times and others you basically just need to be there to win lol. I was at NLOP in the spring champioship that I qualified for today and out of 200 plus entrants, I just could not get the cards to match and was finally taken out at 95th or something. Anyways, the top 30 got prizes and 1st was a $10,000 buyin at WSOP. top ten got poker chips and the rest got shirts and merchandise. Ya'll if ya want to play for free and put in some hours thats it no money all these sites are free. I am making this short and will talk to ya'll soon, but if there are mother's out there reading this so called blog, Happy Mothers Day to each and everyone of you. I am a fifteen year veteran of the us navy and my mom has supported me every step of the way. Well it's been a few days since my last update and I was just taking a few days to recover from this dang surgery. UGH... Man this crap hurts but in the long run it will be worth it. First of all I would like to say to mookie that good on ya for calling me with that AQ when I had A8off. I tried pulling a fast one and it went, fast to lol. Congrats to all ya'll that played tuesday in the WW. I have been takin several beatings lately at the tables in freerolls getting out done each time by having the nuts playing them like the nuts and getting donked out on on several sites by you guessed it DONKIES are in force everywhere. I just recently sent in my renewal to heston at the NRA to get my 2006 spring hunting troll license by the way it comes with no daily bag limits because I acted within the first thirty seconds on the second wednesday of the fifth week this month. So I will be shooting them suckers ASAP.
I entered into a freeroll in adult poker party tonight and just finished with to great hands when I got to the final table with just over 300 in chips more than the second guy at 9,300 when it was raised preflop and i was in the BB. I had 66 and a minimum raise and sure enough 6 callers. The flop came 464 and I saw the money signs rolling. I checked, it was bet then raised then fold fold to me where I called. the turn was 9 and i checked. It was bet raised to me where I reraised, then I was reraised , then a fold so I was heads up and I reraised it they called. River was 7 and I went all in they thought about it and called with their A4 and then they left putting me at 19K and the dominating chip leader. At this point I had more than all the rest combined. Fast forward to the last hand blinds were 200/400 and I was dealt 62 off and still at 24K The other guy min raises and I call. The flop was 6d2c2d. I check they bet 500. I smooth call. the turn was 5 of diamonds and I checked, the bet 1100. I decided to raise to 2200 and they called. the river was a 4 and I bet 3000, they reraise me all in and before I called I typed in good game and they responded with "flush?" I said nope and called. Showed them the boat and they showe K7 of diamonds and it was done. Mind you it was only a $50 dollar freeroll and first paid $19.00 but it was still a win and I am going to count it as such. I am getting ready for another one here in an hour and then tommorrow at espn I have my sunday qualifier to a final tournament that has a WSOP seat also. And no I am not saying that those two hands by any means are what you should be playing but if they want to make minimum raises to the chip leader at the table then we all know that minimum raises make baby Jesus cry. WSOP qualifier tourney-missed again

I have been playing at the national league of poker site off and on and qualified earlier in the week for the weekly championship tourney on this past sunday. The first place prize being a WSOP $1500 buy in and 2-10 being $100 each. I registered and patiently waited for the war to began. Out of a starting field of 413 and only starting with 750 chips it was on. The play was slow and the cards were few and far between and managed to get up to the first break with 1600 chips and wasn't sitting to bad. Round 2 came and left with me hovering just under 3k with the blinds starting to get dangerous. I had stolen a few blinds and lost a few when I got dealt AA utg with my chip stack just under 5k and the blinds were 1000/2000. I wanted max people in the pot and min raised it hoping to get a good size pot for my rockets. One caller with Q10 off. The flop came 10 4 k and I was all in, They called and made their set on the river. Oh well I was happy with the way I played and even though I didn't make the money, My 38th finish did qualify me for the spring championship for another chance. I Will eventually get there and get that seat. I will see ya'll soon and beware of the trolls they are out in force.

Surgery recooperation and some poker therapy

Well I had a somewhat not to bad day seeing how I have a mouth full of stitches and a day off of work. I still got up at O dark thirty even though my alarm wasn't set, figures military life. Anyways I decided to work on my bonus from Absolute Poker. I ended the day with that site up $21.63 and 71 points towards my bonus so I am happy. I did make a pit stop over at titan and got in two of there tourneys. The first one was $6 total to entered and finished third so I made $4 bucks. The second was a 20 person tourney and it was $5 to enter. There was about 11 people left when I was hovering around my 1,00o chips when I get dealt KK under the gun. I had already established my table presence and I bet 3x the blind which were 50/100. So everyone folds around to the BB and they call. They have 170 chips more than me. The flop comes Kc 6d2d. They check, I bet 500, they go all in. I am thinking they are high or on a flush draw. WRONG on both accounts. I called it instantly. I turned over my cowboys and they turned over 7 and 10 clubs. everyone at the table was puzzled. Sure enough the turn was an 8 of hearts and the river was a 9 of spades. Just like that I lost my $5.00 and was pretty steamed. I didn't even say a word I just logged off and put some sailors out to sea. I got over it and now I am getting ready for my next tourney here in an hour. I will check back tommorrow with yall. see ya soon

Blue Veiner memorial

Well I was fortunate enough to have my jaw cut open today and sit in the chair for just over 4 hours this afternoon. UGH, I am getting two implants put in, my mouth not there you pervs, and it was quite painful. ON another note the the Big Blue Veiner was tonight and I guess I had the biggest one this time anyways, I hear that vicodin works alot like miracle grow to some lol. I had a very good time and I believe that fun was had by all. I have to update my stats on the right after a rebuy tourney I didn't cash in, lost 9.90 total. And this tourney that i invested 11.00 in and won 65.00 for first place. I have been on to something lately wow. Here are my stats from this tourney:

Missing in Action

I have been rather busy the last few days with all thats been goin on. I had my sons birthday party on Sunday. He turned a milestone two years old. We gave him the spongebob cake, sponge bob candles, spongebob plates, heck even the spongebob pinata. UGH, I am sponged out. Everyone had a great time though and he had a blast so thats all that matters right? I had signed up to do a couple tourneys but with otherthings coming up, I went ahead and unregistered from them early cause I knew I wouldn't be able to focus on them. I got into a freeroll last night with a chance for a $100 cash and a follow on tourney on sunday for a WSOP seat. I didn't get the cash missed it when I came in 8th out of 247. Not bad by anymeans, but did get enough points for the sunday tourney and a chance at that seat. Hopefully all goes well. I have to get to work before my surgery today, will post later.

Back when I finished 2nd in the APP Gear Giveaway at adultpokerparty.com I was stoked to hear that I had won a hat, shirt, card cover, etc... and five videos-woohoo. Well after several times of asking where in the world is my winnings and getting no direct answers I finally got one. Last night I was able to speak with the Vice President of marketing and he apologized so many times for screwing me over I couldn't count. Then he said I'll tell ya what, to make up for i I am going to deposit $350.00 into your account since that was the retail value of the package I won and you get to keep the package to. I said uh ok. Then he said theres two stipulations to the cash. Go figure right, yeah. First he said I have to play through the money one time and it's mine. I agreed most hastily and then he said that I had to give him some good publicity for the site. No problem. I have already played through the money once so heres the advertisement. My hats off to the VP for takin care of me.

On another note I decided to stop by Titan today and play a RIO for a $23 entry. First time I have played a single tourney with that buyin. I sat back and let the donkeys battle each other for about ten or so minutes and got a good read on them and went to work. The whole thing was over in 39 minutes and I won another game. With $60 dollars for first I made $37 in less than an hour so I am just a happier right now than a pig in mud. I am on the hottest roll ever and am takin full advantage of it. I am getting ready to get in another game so I will see ya at the tables.

Well It was another great night with all you bloggers out there. Great group and extremely enjoyable. Kudos to Doglawyer for winning the Mookie, way to go. I thought I had it in the bag when My A10 off was up against your 88 and low and behold the crazy eights held up with no luck for me and the tables were turned. Mookie thanks for setting that up and letting me participate. I had a blast. I am still on my vicodin right now so this wont be very long...... Mookie Tonight

Ok all there is the Mookie tourney tonight at pokerstars. I haven't figured out all these link things yet but click on Mookie's link to the right and you will get all the info ok. I have been fortunate enough to have a slow day at work so I am going to attempt to stay up and play this.

On another note, I will be trying to build up my bankroll, being married with kids it's kinda hard to do, and set my sights on WSOP. I have made it my goal and want to go so bad i can taste it already. I was talking with my buddy about my playing strategy that I have been working on and after the first comment of what book did I read, by the way I haven't read my first poker book yet, he said you're on to something. I explained the whole thing to him and he told me that this strategy is in several books. I think it's good and I am going to stick with it because I have been doing awesome here recently with two wins, $250.00 and $15.00, a second that won me a t-shirt-hat-card cover-and set of videos, a 4th that got me $6, and a 6th place finish that got me $100. All the money invested was $30 so I have a whopping $341 dollar profit plus merchandise. I hope this keeps working cause I am going to a tournament soon I know it. DADI Invitational

Wow what a tourney. I was fortunate enough to get in and play last night. I started reeeaalllyy slow getting my blinds takin from me and after having decent cards and calling raises completely missing the flops I got a good hand in the SB and was in. Lttle did I know that this was the hand that started my tilt. K10 and the flop came 10 Q 10. I slow played that to get max chips and was reraised on the river yep you guessed it not only a flush but the hammer with the 2 suited.That took half my stack and wouldn't ya know it, I get pocket threes second to act and limp in. I get raised with two callers and reraise huge. Two quick folds and a call. Flop comes J66 and I bet all in and got called by AJ. The turn and the start of my build, a 3 and I'm home free. Slowly built my stack up and at the end of round 2 was sitting around 10k in chips. The minute round three started first hand JJ and I raise get reraised all in and I call. Win 1. Second hand, 10 10 same raise and same reraise all in, call. Win 2. Third hand 88, same raise with the same reraise all in and I call, Win 3. Just like that I was over 20K and sitting pretty. I waited for premium hands after seeing to many hammer hands getting played and it paid off. I had made the third break, then the final table. Congrats to all who played very good competition and very tough field. I got a pair of 9's and cashed on them and that was all. My last hand was KJ when I reraised the chipleader all in when they showed their KK I knew I was done. Finished 6th around 12:55am and sure enough if the whole thing wasnt over at 01:07am. LOL Oh well I played to the best of my ability and cashed so I am happy. Thanks to all that played, TonySopran0, way to go on the win. Thanks Dave for reminding me. Smokkee I will try not to play anymore lol. 23skidoo Please don't hate my threes to long. Fuel55 good game and no there wasn't really a add on period where I got my chips. I was finally able to get my pistol that I wanted. Well settled for anyways. It started back in 2001 when I was itching for one after trying to no avail with my wife. Thats when she finally said , you have that old scope right, night vision but the tube was burnt, why dont you sell it on ebay. The wheels started turning and within the hour it was on. Well it wasnt a day and I had already gotten my asking price so I was shopping. And as the bid kept going up, I kept adding stuff to it, trigger job, nite sights, etc... Well thats when it all went down hill. After the bidding had closed for a whopping $720 smackers, we were living out in town. And wouldn't you know it, we get a call from base housing that we get to move in in two weeks they had a house on base come available. And they dont come equipped with washers and dryers. My wife said uh honey, we are going to have to put your pistol on hold. Well for the longest time my I was the only one I knew who's pistol had 3 speeds and dried clothes.

I was able to go down and finally get a 1911. I went and shot it a few weeks ago and offhand grouped about 64 shots in a pie plate diameter at 25 yds so I was happy. I already have custom parts on order so I am going to have fun. I will tell ya'll about my custom .308 I had made two years ago another time. Until then, give em hell at the tables and beware of the alpacas

Back from vacation and Back in the money!

I got back from Vacation and had some bad news. Apparently when I had set up my firepay account i had given them my old account number instead of the the new one and as luck would have it, I got charged a return fee. Had to laugh though it was my fault. I must be getting old. What can you do right? Oh well I just played more poker. I was at pokerpasia.com last night and got in the $50 freeroll at 8:02. There were 42 people in it and the top ten places got money, $15,10,8,6,4,,3,2,1,1,1. I started off playing tight and only in POSITION. I cannot stress that enough as it seems to be my winning factor these days. I will fold everything from pocket Jacks down if I am not in position. It seems to be working for me so I am going to keep doing it. Yeah i cringe every once in awhile when I see those flops where I would have hit a straight or even flopped a fullhouse but thats the breaks. I am going to keep playing smart poker for now. I got a few good hands early on and set my table presence early then when I did raise preflop or was in a hand they knew I was holding something. I never got moved throughout the tourney until I was sat down at the final table. I was about 4k behind the chip leader at that point with about 8,000 chips. After a few ups and downs I was setting pretty with 19k in chips. I took a beating and got knocked back down to 11k when I had AJ on the button and the BB called my raise. The flop came J4Q and I bet to let him know I had made my cards, and they called. The turn was another Q and they reraised me, I folded they mucked then they were running there mouth about did I have it or didnt I. I knew then that they were a big bluffer and just sat and waited. It was down to three of us and then I took out short_stacks to put us H2H. I had A4 and limped in, the flop was2 spades 7, 10 and a 4 of hearts. I checked, they bet, I called. Turn was an A of diamonds. I checked, they bet I raised, they went all in, I had them covered by about 900 chips and I figured at this point they were waiting on a flush draw from the way they had been playing so I called and I was right. The river no help to em and it was over. I was $15 richer. My account there now has a whopping $21 in it and it has cost me nothing to risk. Another good night

Well my luck has finally started turning again and I had another profitable day. I had entered into a freeroll on a another site pokerpasia and cashed again. The site only has freerolls for money. The other tables are all play money but there are not alot of people at this site yet so I am trying to cash in a little. So far my account balance is at $10 for just two freerolls played. Not devastating but it is a good start. Over at Titan wow was confused at first but finally figured how to get some of my winnings from the other night. I couldn't pull money out and put it into my firepay account because i had never made a deposit there through firepay before. So I had to make a deposit in order to withdraw some of it to transfer to another site. Oh well, they gave me an additional $10 for depositing on the spot and I have another $15 pending. Not bad i thought. So I made the withdrawal and then sat down at the tables again and turned a $4.00 profit. So after all was done and I went to bed I had made another $20 with $ coming soon. I love this crap. I have to thank my buddy though for getting me into it, Presdlee. He is all to blame for it. His site is navyguypoker. I am on leave now so I will get back to yall soon.

Poker Tourney

Well, It was a great night. WOW. I took a chance and entered the bloggers tourney at Titan poker and there was a total of 47 bloggers entered in it. The top 15 got paid. I managed to go up and down the first hour a few chips at a time went into the break with around 2400. Not too bad, but still wasn't home free. After that it was on. I was playing good hands in late position and they were paying off. After I made the money, 15th was $25 dollars and it was a free tourney so I was stoked, I played a litttle looser. I finally made it to the final table. Not sitting pretty at all. Almost the short stack at the table but after a few good calls and a few leaving quick it was looking pretty good. After there was just five of us left i knew I was going to finish alot better than I started. It was down to just three of us left, Theaudition and tripjaax. WOW very good players. We did a few of the chip trades and it was me and trips head to head in a hand. Very good game Trips, luck of the flop and it was just me and theaudition left. After sitting there with probably five times the chip stack as them I lost and then lost again doubling them up each time. Now they were the chip leader and i was short again not by much though. And I was all in, couldn't even tell ya what I had that hand I was so tired and I was the chip leader again, by alot now. I kept the pressure on, few good hands, a few more bluffs, got them all in and finally won. Yeah first tourney win on a freeroll and I bank $250 like that. Awesome players and very good games by all. I hope to play with ya'll again soon. Ok I gotta go 5am comes early, see ya'll next post.

New guy

I have just started so this will probably not be the best yet... I had to vent about my bad beat last night at the tables. I was in early position with 8's and did some fishing so i raised it 8x the blind had two callers. The flop came 83J rainbow and I bet half the pot. 1 fold and a call. I had put the other guy on AJ or a high pair. The turn was a 3 so i had made my boat and was set, wanting to get as much money from this guy as I could and bait him into thinking I missed and was trying to bluff at first I checked. Well he took it and bet half the pot and I called. the river was a 7 so I was in there. and I bet the pot and he reraised me, I immediately went all in which he could not cover but called anyways. I turned over my fullhouse and sure enough was already counting my money when he turned over his pocket jacks and crushed me. It stung for quite awhile but he had the better hand and there was only 2 out there that could have beat me so another learning lesson for me. Anyways I hope this does get better cause my bankroll is looking bad lol. See ya'll next time.
